The representative of the magnate family was the last person for whom the castle in Niasvizh was home.
July 20, the oldest representative of the Radziwiłł magnate family, Elżbieta Radziwiłł, died. The Polish philanthropist and entrepreneur Maciej Radziwiłł announced this on his Facebook page.
"Witness to several eras. The last person for whom the Radziwiłł Castle in Niasvizh was just a home," wrote Maciej Radziwill.
Elżbieta is the only child of Albrecht Antoni Wilhelm Radziwiłł and his English wife Dorothy Parker Dykan. She was born in 1917 in London. When her parents separated, Elżbieta lived with her mother in Vienna and then with her father in Niasvizh. She spent the last years of her life in Warsaw.
In her old age, Elżbieta visited Belarus several times. During one of her visits, she visited the Niasvizh Castle. At the castle, Lady Elżbieta used to say: "it wasn't here" or "it wasn't like that".
