Against the background of large-scale anti-Russian sanctions, Bulgaria will ban the entry of Russian cars into the territory of the country.

This was announced by the head of the country's border police, Anton Zlatanov, who noted that the ban will come into effect from October 2, reports 24chasa.bg.

"By the end of the day, a ban on the entry of Russian cars into our country will come into effect on the territory of Bulgaria," Zlatanov said.

"This year we have a record migration pressure. Compared to last year, there is a 50 per cent increase at the end of the first nine months... This is a huge number of people," he said.
