UAVs Massively Attacked Russia’s Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk Regions

Russians are shocked by the unprecedented blow.
On the night of October 4, the regions of Russia bordering Ukraine were subjected to a massive attack by drones, The Moscow Times reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the Russian military department, in the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, air defense forces allegedly “intercepted and destroyed” 31 aircraft-type drones.
Nevertheless, local residents report a large number of explosions on Russian territory. As Ukrainian media note, Russians from the border regions are shocked by the unprecedented blow.
Most of the drones flew to the Belgorod region. According to the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, in total “about 19 objects” were shot down.
“The damage caused by falling debris is currently being ascertained. So far we see that an administrative building in the city of Belgorod was damaged and in the village of Shishino, windows were broken in one of the households and 3 cars were damaged,” Gladkov wrote on his VKontakte page.
Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz reported one “downed drone.” “The air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense destroyed an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle over the Bryansk region,” Bogomaz wrote in his Telegram channel.
He also spoke about the shelling of four districts of the region — Sevsk, Pogarsk, Klimovsk and Trubchevsk — with cluster munitions.
Head of the Kursk region Roman Starovoyt did not comment on the situation after the hits of the drones.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Russian regions have been regularly subjected to drone attacks, but the Belgorod and Bryansk regions are hit more often.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out their largest drone attack on August 25. Then 42 drones flew to the occupied Crimea. However, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, all of them were shot down by air defense and suppressed by electronic warfare systems.
On the night of September 20-21, Ukraine attacked the Kursk, Belgorod and Oryol regions, as well as the Crimea, with 19 drones. On September 25, drones were shot down over the Kursk, Bryansk, Tula and Belgorod regions.
