Russian TV host Vladimir Pozner spoke about the war in Ukraine for the first time. The well-known journalist largely supported the theses of Russian propaganda.

A few of Pozner's theses at the Ubiquity University conference:

“I recently visited the States, where I have close intellectual friends from local liberal circles. So they are totally fooled by what they read, hear or see on their television.

“Putin warned the West, and specifically the US, to ensure that Ukraine does not join NATO, and they hit the bear on the nose several times, hoping that he would fall into the trap called Ukraine.”

”An important reason for Putin's actions is that he does not want Ukraine to join NATO.”

“It doesn’t matter whether I agree with Putin or not. The facts are important. But I believe that the ball is on the side of the United States, because Zelensky is 100% dependent on the United States.”

Mr Pozner also spoke about Russian internal propaganda. He declared that "propagandists will burn in hell". However, many of the journalist's theses also fit well the line of Russian propaganda.
