Germany Sends Ukraine Largest Batch Of Weapons Since Beginning Of War

The contents of the package of military assistance for the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine became known.

The German government is preparing another package of military assistance to Ukraine. Its cost is about 2.7 billion euros, Spiegel reports.

According to the publication, Ukraine will receive:

20 Marder armored personnel carriers;

30 Leopard 1 tanks;

18 wheeled howitzers;

4 air defense systems IRIS-T-SLM;

12 IRIS-T-SLS launchers;

hundreds of guided missiles for the above system;

And so on.

It is noted that Germany also wants to help Ukraine in intelligence. Delivery of up to 200 reconnaissance UAVs is planned. We are also talking about the transfer of 100 protected combat vehicles, which are used to transport the military to the front, as well as 100 logistics support vehicles.

The new delivery should not only strengthen the Ukrainian ground forces, but also significantly modernize the air defense.

The publication adds that the package will be announced in parallel with the presentation of the Charlemagne Prize to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday in Aachen, which will be a symbol of Germany’s solidarity with Ukraine.
