Tank Fires At Cadet School Near Hrodna

The shell hit the building.

In the first half of August, 30 km from Hrodna in the agricultural town of Parechcha, an incident occurred — a tank fired in the direction of a settlement and hit the building of the Hrodna Regional Cadet School.

Luckily, no one was hurt, according to Belarusian media.

The combat vehicle participated in the exercises near the Gozhsky Training Ground.

For some unknown reason, the crew of the tank reportedly raised the barrel and fired. The shell hit the square of the cadet school, ricocheted and destroyed the wall of the neighboring building. Nobody got hurt in the end.

The military, as stated, promptly repaired the building, eliminated the damage. Nothing was officially reported about the incident.

Command-staff exercises with the 6th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade, which included a stage with live firing, began at the Gozhsky Training Ground on August 7 and lasted for several days.

It was reported that in the course of the exercises the issues of managing units during the conduct of hostilities will be worked out, and the experience of the war in Ukraine will also be taken into account, namely, the widespread use of unmanned aerial vehicles and close interaction of tank and motorized rifle units with units of other military branches.
