Another powerful fire broke out in Russia on September 27. A fire engulfed a chemical plant in Bashkiria, and a warehouse with chemicals inflamed.
The company is Russia's largest manufacturer of synthetic zeolites and adsorbents. Russian media reported about the fire.
“A warehouse with chemicals is on fire on the territory of a plant in the Bashkir Ishimbay. Ishimbay Specialized Chemical Catalyst Plant is the largest enterprise in Russia for the production of synthetic zeolites and adsorbents. It produces “a wide range of catalysts for hydrogenation processes for producing highly environmentally friendly fuels,” writes the Russian publication ASTRA.
Local media say there is no data on dead or injured.
“At 9:45 am a fire was reported in Ishimbay, Left Bank, 6 in a separate warehouse building measuring 20x60 meters. There were presumably chemicals inside. Forces and means were attracted due to the increased rank of the fire,” write Bashkir publications.
According to media reports, as of 10 am, 11 pieces of equipment and more than 35 firefighters were involved in the firefighting effort.
