Ukrainian Forces Pushed Back Russian In Kupiansk-Lyman Direction

The Ukrainian forces consolidated their position in the positions taken during the assault.

Ukrainian fighters ousted the Russian invaders in the Kupiansk-Lyman direction and built their positions.

RBC-Ukraine reported with reference to the representative of the National Guard Mykola Urshalovich at a briefing.

“Units of the 4th Brigade of Operational Designation, together with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, carried out strike and assault operations. We drove the enemy out of their positions and gained a foothold,” he said.

According to him, the guards hold the defence, carry out aerial reconnaissance and methodically hit enemy targets in the areas of Serebriansk forestry and Belohorivka. At the same time, they are under intense fire from the Russians.

Urshalovich added that our soldiers are carrying out strike and assault operations to improve the tactical situation. They inflict losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment and also replenish our exchange fund.

The situation on the front line

The General Staff also reported that the Russian military did not conduct offensive operations in the Kupiansky and Lyman directions over the past 24 hours.

At the same time, the Eastern Group of Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the invaders could be preparing for an offensive in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction. In particular, the invaders are forming 12 assault companies there.
