The bomb fell right onto the highway in front of civilian cars.

On April 9, Russian forces dropped a bomb directly onto a highway in front of civilian vehicles. A video in which Russian military personnel say, "FAB fell," spread on social media. However, the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, now claims it was a drone attack.

This was reported by ASTRA.

Photos and videos have appeared online showing the location of the Russian aerial bomb's fall on April 8 in the Yakovlevsky district of Belgorod region, as a result of which a 36-year-old local resident was hospitalized with injuries.

"We are on the Tomarovka highway. F***ing FAB," says a military personnel or emergency service representative off-screen.

The FAB fell right in front of 36-year-old Rasuljon’s car and did not explode, but it created a large crater, and the driver was injured by shrapnel and his car was severely damaged. The video spread on social media and Telegram channels, despite emergency services prohibiting locals from photographing the site of the incident and posting any information online to "avoid destabilizing the situation."

The Yakovlevsky district administration warned local residents of a road closure immediately after the aerial bomb fell, citing "work being carried out" without explaining the reason.

However, the Russian Investigative Committee has already stated that they will investigate the bomb’s fall as a "crime by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against civilians."

Governor of Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov stated that the highway was attacked by a drone: "Over the Yakovlevsky municipal district, a drone was shot down by the air defense system. On the Tomarovka—Rakitnoe road section, a civilian was injured. The man received medical assistance for multiple shrapnel wounds to the face and neck at the regional clinical hospital. Further treatment continues on an outpatient basis. A passenger car was damaged."

Journalists note that since the beginning of 2025, Russian military forces have dropped 50 aerial bombs and three missiles in Russia and on Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. In 2024, 165 FAB bombs fell in these territories.
