US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff met with the head of the Russian direct investment fund Kirill Dmitriev during his visit to Russia on Friday, April 11, the Russian propaganda agency TASS reports.

According to Russian media, Witkoff met with Dmitriev at the Grand Europe Hotel in the center of St. Petersburg. After the meeting, they left together in a motorcade.

Earlier on April 11, Axios reported that Witkoff went to Moscow for talks with dictator Vladimir Putin.
