Trump's Spiritual Advisor Calls Putin ‘Pure Evil’

The world must unite in the face of this evil.

Pastor Mark Burns, spiritual adviser to US President Donald Trump, has condemned the Russian missile attack in Sumy, which took place on Palm Sunday, 13 April. He wrote about it on the X platform on Monday, 14 April.

Posting a video from the scene of the fly-in, he called the strike ‘an unforgivable attack against humanity, faith and the sanctity of life’ and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin ‘pure evil’.

‘This is why I called Putin evil... As a pastor and peacemaker, I strongly condemn Russia's horrific bombing of a church in Sumy, Ukraine, on Palm Sunday, a day meant for worship and spiritual renewal for Christians around the world. This brutal attack, mercilessly targeting innocent parishioners gathered in peace to celebrate Palm Sunday, is an unforgivable assault against humanity, faith, and the sanctity of life. In Sumy, this barbaric act took at least 32 lives (34 - ed.),’ Burns noted.

He said such deliberate violence against defenceless believers shows a profound disregard for compassion and morality.

‘I demand justice, accountability and an immediate end to these atrocities, calling on all people of conscience to condemn this evil and work tirelessly for peace and reconciliation,’ he added.

Burns called on all people of faith from around the world to condemn Russia publicly for these vicious acts of violence against civilian women and children. Stressing that the world must unite in the face of this evil.

He also reminded that US President Donald Trump wants to stop these crimes and bring peace as soon as possible.
