They are enormous.
British intelligence analyzed the losses of the Russian army for 2025.
This is stated in the analysis of British intelligence officers dated April 14, writes “European Pravda”.
According to British intelligence officers, as of 2025, Russia has probably suffered about 138 thousand losses killed and wounded in the war against Ukraine.
And since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has probably already lost more than 920 thousand people, the analysis says.
Referring to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is noted that in March 2025, the average number of Russian losses was about 1,300 people per day.
The British noted that this figure had increased compared to February 2025, when it was around 1,250 daily casualties, but remained below the very high daily losses in late 2024 — almost 1,600 people per day.
The analysis also noted that the increase in the level of casualties continues in early April 2025, which most likely indicates an increase in attacks from Russia along the front line.
“Russian forces are likely to be trying to restore the offensive tempo after a period of relative calm at the beginning of the year,” the British intelligence officers suggested.
The analysis noted that despite the relatively static front line, recorded losses among Russian troops in 2025 remain significantly higher than in the spring of 2024, when daily losses rarely exceeded a thousand people.
