After an unsuccessful interception, the Russians tried to retreat, but were too late.
In the Kursk region of Russia, a Ukrainian FPV drone hit a Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system. This was reported by the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces, which published a video of the combat operation on Telegram on Monday, April 14.
Operators of the 413th Raid Battalion of the Unmanned Systems Forces, in cooperation with the combined detachment of the Dzhmil 78th Airborne Assault Regiment, successfully hit the enemy SAM system.
The Russians spotted a Ukrainian reconnaissance UAV in the sky and brought the Strela into the field, trying to shoot it down. But the launch of two missiles was unsuccessful — the drone pilots skillfully dodged the missiles.
“After an unsuccessful interception, the enemy tried to retreat, but failed. The FPV drone strike hit the target, causing serious damage to the anti-aircraft system,” the statement said.
