The Polish Prime Minister announced the end of the era of naive globalization.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said during the opening of the European Forum of New Ideas that the time has come to restore and repolonize the Polish economy, market and capital. He emphasized that the era of naive globalization is coming to an end, and Poland will no longer be a naive partner in the “competition of egoists” in the markets and fronts of trade wars, PAP reports.
The Prime Minister noted that Poland, Europe and the entire world have found themselves in a situation in which those who draw the right conclusions from what is happening will survive, win and succeed.
“The era of naive globalization is ending. If we want to achieve economic success, build a secure state, we must clearly tell ourselves and others: Poland will not be a naive partner in this increasingly ruthless competition of egoists on world markets and (trade) war fronts. Polish companies should not be in a losing position compared to international giants,” Tusk emphasized.
“The time has come to restore the national economy, to repolonize (return to the hands of Polish private or public capital — PAP) the Polish economy, market and capital,” the head of government said.
In addition, Donald Tusk also announced a large-scale package of deregulation of the EU economies. The Prime Minister confirmed that the first large-scale package of deregulation measures will be presented on Thursday.
The Prime Minister announced that he will present the first large package of deregulation measures on Thursday. He added that he is convinced that freeing the European economy from bureaucratic barriers will benefit Poland.
He noted that already in May a group of entrepreneurs, managers and experts working on deregulation will go to Copenhagen.
“There, together with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, managers, experts and Danish entrepreneurs, we will jointly develop a continuation of the deregulation program for the period of the next Danish presidency,” Tusk announced.
He stressed that it is important for him that deregulation is an initiative for many years to come and that Poland is protected from excessive regulation.
“We have taken on the responsibility, as the presiding country, to convince Europe that this deregulation campaign (of the economy — PAP) should cover the entire European Union,” the Prime Minister said.
He added that he believes that this year will be a breakthrough for Poland in terms of investment, protection and development of Polish companies.
“I am convinced that with Poland's participation, this will be a breakthrough year when it comes to deregulation, freeing the European economy from bureaucratic barriers — to our advantage,” Tusk emphasized.
