Unknown drones have been attacking the town of Shuya in Ivanovo region of the Russian Federation for the second day in a row. Locals report at least 6 explosions, as a result of which parts of the town lost light and schoolchildren were transferred to distance learning, reports Focus.
The uneasy night in Shuya is written about on the local telegram channel of ‘Ivanovo. Happenings.’
The public page reports that it all started around 3:30 in the morning on 17 April. The siren was switched on in the town, after which explosions were heard. Also the siren was turned on in the regional centre - the town of Ivanovo.
‘Subscribers report that it is loud in Shuya. At 3 a.m. three explosions. The AFU are again trying to attack the town of Shuya in Ivanovo region. Preliminary several air targets have already been shot down over the town,‘ stated the message.
It is noted that the light was ‘switched off’ in Leninsky district of the town. It was also reported that the attack is ‘coming from all sides’.
The Shuya town administration said that classes in schools will be held remotely, and residents were urged to stay in safe places, and the rules of behaving during a UAV attack were distributed.
‘Distance, due to the danger of UAV attacks, is announced for today only for pupils at schools in the town of Shuya. Such measures have not yet been introduced in Ivanovo and other towns in the region. Police are everywhere. They are telling everyone not to leave their houses,’ the message reads.
