Ukrainian forces showcased their advance on video.
Several Ukrainian Armed Forces tanks calmly crossed the border into Russia’s Belgorod region. To prevent this, regional authorities had spent billions of rubles on "powerful" fortifications.
The footage of the breakthrough was released by soldiers of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The video shows several tanks easily passing through defensive obstacles, including a trench, an embankment, and dragon's teeth.
The soldiers sarcastically reminded that in 2022, the authorities of the Belgorod region spent 10 billion rubles ($116 million) on fortifications. The defensive structures were named the "Zasechnaya Line."
This massive budget expenditure is five times greater than the region's healthcare spending and 70 times more than the funding allocated for housing programs for families with children with disabilities.
