One Of The Banks Introduced A Change In Currency Exchange For Belarusians

The list of signs of banknote damage has been amended.

"Belgazprombank informed that it had changed the list of signs of damage of foreign currency banknotes. The innovation has been working since April 25. At the same time, from June 1, the bank will reduce the fee for the exchange of worn and damaged banknotes in foreign currency.

Since April 25, the bank has updated the list of currency damages, which indicate that the banknote should be replaced with a new one (such service is charged a fee). The list includes, among other things, the following items:

up to 10 tears/cuts, the length of which does not exceed 70 mm in total, including those sealed with transparent adhesive tape;

up to 15 punctures/holes with a diameter of no more than 1 mm each;

a mark made with a marker for checking banknotes.

From June 1 this year, Belgazprombank intends to change the amount of the fee for the exchange of worn, damaged banknotes in foreign currency. The fee will amount to 9%, but there will be a minimum of 3 rubles. Now this fee is 12%, with a minimum of Br3.
