The strikes took place near the Pakistan Army General Headquarters.
Amid the escalating conflict with Pakistan, India closed more than 30 civilian airports until May 15: after that Indian troops launched an attack on Pakistan.
In particular, the Noor Khan Air Force base in Rawalpind went under attack, where a fire broke out: the General Headquarters of the Pakistani army is located near this place.
An Indian attack on Pakistan this night was reported in Clash Report.
It was reported that Indian cruise missiles were attacking Pakistan Air Force bases. Over the Pakistani capital, Islamabad city, active air defense forces were recorded. Indian missiles were intercepted towards Rafiki base near Shorkot, Jhang.
The Pakistan Air Force's Noor Khan base in Rawalpind was also under attack.
According to Clash Report, the Pakistan Army General Headquarters is located near Pakistan's Noor Khan base in Rawalpinde, Chaklala. The media outlet emphasized that this is "very important."
A massive explosion and fire rose at the site of the attack in Rawalpinda.
At around 01:00 hours, Clash Report also reported that, tentatively, a Pakistani C-130 transport aircraft at Pakistan Air Force's Noor Khan base in Rawalpinda was hit in an Indian missile attack.
Official full details of India's overnight attack on Pakistan Air Force bases have not yet been released.
It should be noted that the Pakistani government has already reacted to India's attack. Authorities posted a post online calling on India to "prepare for retaliation." It is also reported that Pakistan has closed its airspace: now there are no aircraft in the skies above the country.
India has closed civilian airports
The Directorate of Aviation of India (DGCA) has announced the temporary closure of civilian airports, with a total of 32 airports in the northern and western parts of the country coming under restrictions.
"All civil aviation activities at these airports will be suspended during this period," the DGCA said in a statement.
It is noted that India has taken such measures "for operational reasons". The airports are scheduled to resume operations on May 15.
