A Pleasant Surprise Awaits Belarusian Schoolchildren On September 1

At the beginning of the next school year, some schoolchildren will be happy to see their timetables. There will be more physical education lessons. They will have an hour more for sports than they do now. Such a conclusion can be drawn from the data of the model curricula for general secondary education institutions, which will begin to operate in September. The decree was published on the National Educational Portal.

This school year, the schedule of most secondary school students includes two physical education lessons per week. The exception, for example, are tenth- and eleventh-graders who attend sports classes. They have four hours for this subject.

From September 1, sports in secondary schools will be more. To be more precise, three physical education lessons per week will appear in the schedule. The changes will affect pupils from 1st to 11th grade.

It is interesting that in 10th and 11th grades boys and girls will study in groups twice a week, and in the third lesson - together.

Not without exceptions. For example, guys who belong to the SMG, i.e. special medical group, will go to physical education twice a week.
