Rubio To Attend NATO Meeting In Turkey

They will be discussing the war in Ukraine.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will attend an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Turkey on May 14-16 to discuss ending Russia's war against Ukraine.

The Reuters reported on Sunday, May 11, citing a U.S. State Department statement.

"Ahead of the NATO summit in The Hague this June, the secretary of state will advance President [U.S.] Trump's agenda to ensure that Alliance members contribute to a stronger and more effective NATO," the State Department said in a statement.

The NATO 2025 Leaders' Summit will be held in The Hague, Netherlands, from June 24 to 26. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also expected to attend the summit.
