The new BMW Skytop has been spotted in Germany during testing. The powerful limited edition sports car will be the most expensive model in the modern lineup of the brand.

The design of BMW Skytop is quite atypical and the car differs from other models of the brand. The sports car attracts with its elegant styling with a long hood, high window line and pointed rear end. Also attracting attention are BMW's narrow grille, slim headlights and taillights.

The roof of the BMW Skytop is removable, meaning it's a coupe-targa. The interior can also be seen: as in the concept, it is covered with expensive brown leather.

The interior layout is the same as the BMW M8. This model is the basis for the Skytop. From it borrowed and the powertrain - 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo with an output of 625 forces and 8-speed automatic. The sports car will be able to start up to a hundred in 3.3 seconds.

Together only 50 BMW Skytop will be produced. The car will cost $500,000, which means it will be significantly more expensive than any modern BMW.
