According to "Viasna", in the morning of May 4 last year, near the store "Transit" in Babruisk, in the presence of other people, Bondarenko spoke about Lukashenka "in an obscene form". One of those present outside the store appealed to the police and even showed the law enforcers a photo of the car, in which Bondarenko left. The next day the man was detained.

The man pleaded guilty in court. The man who denounced the Ukrainian acted as a witness. The whole case, as noted by human rights activists, was based only on his testimony. There was no audio or video recording of Bondarenko's statement in the case file.
