Official Election Results: Rafal Trzaskowski Wins In The First Round In Poland

(Updated) PiS candidate Karol Nawrocki also advances to the second round.
In Poland, the State Election Commission has counted 100% of votes in the presidential election, which was held on May 18.
Poland is waiting for the second round of the presidential election, writes onet.pl.
In the first round, the Civic Coalition candidate Rafal Trzaskowski is leading with a minimal margin of 31.36%, while the second place goes to the Law and Justice candidate Karol Nawrocki with 29.54%.
Third place goes to the Confederation leader Slavomir Menczen with 11.48%.
Fourth unexpectedly came the anti-Ukrainian candidate Grzegorz Braun with 6.34%, Polish Sejm speaker Szymon Golovnia with 4.99%, Together party candidate Adrian Zandberg with 4.86%, Left candidate Magdalena Beyat with 4.23%, and journalist Krzysztof Stanowski with 1.24%.
The poll results are almost identical to a late Ipsos poll for TVP, TVN and Polsat, according to which Trzaskowski wins the first round of the presidential election with 31.2%, with Navrotski in second place with 29.7%, Onet writes.
The two candidates thus qualify for the second round of the presidential election, which will be held on June 1. The newly elected president must take the oath of office by August 6, 2025.
