Ukrainian Intelligence "put Down" Servers Of Russian Providers

The results of a large-scale DDOS attack have become known.

Cyber specialists of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense have attacked the servers of Russian ISPs, leaving thousands of Russians without Internet.

From April 30 to May 2, Russian media and local publicks reported numerous complaints from users who could not use the services of Internet service providers.

The DDOS attack also overloaded and disabled the servers of four branches of the company in Siberia, namely in:

Novosibirsk;

Novokuznetsk;

Kemerovo;

Krasnoyarsk.

"Representatives of Internet providers confirm the fact of a powerful DDOS-attack, fix failures in the work of "personal account" and mobile application "My Sibsets", and also urge users to stop complaining, because in this way the telephone line is also overloaded," - said the sources.

The telecom operator Sibirskie Seti was founded in 2004 and provides broadband Internet, IP-telephony and digital television services.

The operator operates in 39 cities in Siberia.
