The moment of impact was caught on video.

During a nighttime Ukrainian drone raid on the Moscow region, the AFU managed to hit the Mikron microelectronics manufacturing plant, which is part of the Element holding company (owned by Sistema and Rostec). This is reported by Astra.

According to the publication, on the night of May 28, a drone strike by the AFU hit one of Mikron's production facilities. The roof and part of the enterprise building were damaged. No one was injured. The Ukrainian channel Exilenova+ reported about the hit on the facility early in the morning.

The plant is located on the territory of the Elma Technopark in Zelenograd, northwest of Moscow, and is part of the Element group of companies, which unites Rostec's microelectronics assets, including the Roselectronics holding and RTI Microelectronics.

Element is Russia's largest microelectronics manufacturer, which specializes, among other things, in developing chips for the Mir payment system. In total, the company can manufacture more than 800 types of products: integrated circuits for automotive equipment, the Internet of Things, operation in extreme conditions, chips for secure data carriers, etc. In 2022, Mikron fell under US sanctions along with a number of other participants in the Russian microelectronics industry.

The report of the AFU General Staff on the operations conducted over the past 24 hours does not separately identify the attack on Mikron. It is noted that a number of "important facilities of the military-industrial complex" of the Russian Federation were hit.

It refers to the Kronstadt (Dubna) plant near Moscow, which produces Orion, Inokhodets, Molniya, Grom, Termit, Helios, Sirius drones, as well as "ground control complexes." Also, Ukrainian drones in Dubna attacked the Raduga enterprise. According to the AFU General Staff, cruise missiles of various classes used by Moscow to attack Ukrainian civilian targets are produced there.

In addition, drones hit the Angstrem plant, which produces microelectronics also for the needs of the Russian army, the AFU General Staff noted. "A hit in the target area was recorded," the Ukrainian military said.
