A military expert revealed the details.
The Russians are intensifying along the entire line of battle, but they have priority locations, which include, in particular, the Limano-Kupyanskaya axis. The Russian troops' priority is to advance to the left bank of the Oskol River and go beyond the Black Stallion River.
All this can be called the direction to Borovaya, for which the resource of the 1st Tank Army was used, said military and political observer Alexander Kovalenko on the air of the YouTube channel OBOZ UA.
The villages of Kolesnikovka and Kruglyakovka, which are the main springboards for further enemy advancement to the north and south, are located in this location. Especially important is the south, if we talk about the goal to reach Borovaya.
The northern direction was connected with the exit to Kupyansk, but it did not happen, because the Russian army had enough resources only to reach the right bank of the Oskol River through forest belts and fields.
The Russians cannot break through beyond this location because the Ukrainian Defense Forces are now taking them in pincers, the military expert said. That is why the Russian command has decided to redistribute the resource of the 1st Tank Army. Some part will remain in the area they were able to capture and hold, and some part will go to Kupyanskoye direction and directly to Limanskoye to reinforce the 20th Panzer Army.
"And here is the most interesting thing. The distribution to the Kupyansk direction is not very effective, to put it mildly. They sent some units to support the 69th Motorized Rifle Division on the right bank of the Oskol River, but there is no global result. It is the right bank of the Black Stallion River that looks more productive for them," Kovalenko said.
