Ukrainian President Makes Statement On Ceasefire With Russia And Names Key Condition

The intensity of Russian strikes is not indicative of anything other than the Russian desire to keep fighting.

Ukraine is ready to move to a ceasefire as soon as possible if Russia is ready for mirror steps, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky declared.

- We are ready to move to a ceasefire as soon as possible, at least from today, if Russia is ready for mirror steps - for complete silence, for prolonged silence for at least 30 days. This is a fair period of time when the next steps can be prepared. Russia must stop the war and stop storming, stop shelling," he said in an evening video message.

The Ukrainian president said that as of now, the intensity of Russian strikes shows nothing but Russia's desire to continue fighting. "Every night under a hundred shahedin. In this week alone, from Monday through Saturday, there are already more than 950 Russian air bombs," he said.

He also emphasized that daily intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsky direction, in other Donetsk directions.

"We are responding along the entire front, as well as in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, where our activity remains," Zelensky added.
