A Man Wanted By Interpol Was Detained In Minsk

A decision has been made to deport him to Sri Lanka.

A 36-year-old citizen of Sri Lanka, declared in the international wanted list, was found and detained in Minsk. Information about his possible presence in the Belarusian capital was received by the police from Interpol, writes "Online".

The man is suspected of complicity in the brutal murder of two people in his homeland, as well as in the wounding of four more with the use of firearms. In addition, he is charged with illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.

Criminal Investigation Department officers detained him in the capital. After checking, a decision was made to deport him to Sri Lanka. The transfer took place at Minsk National Airport.
