AFU Drones Halted Operations At 13 Russian Airports

On the night of May 6, amid a massive Ukrainian drone attack, temporary flight restrictions were imposed at 13 Russian airports, The Moscow Times reported.
At 00:57 p.m. Minsk time, three of the capital's air havens - Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky - stopped receiving and releasing aircraft, Rosaviatsia spokesman Artyom Korenyako said. At 1:15 a.m., Sheremetyevo suspended operations. At the same time, restrictive measures were introduced at the airports of Kaluga, Volgograd and Saratov.
At 2:00 by Minsk, the work of Samara airport was limited, followed by Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod and Yaroslavl. At 5:40 a.m. in Minsk, the reception and release of aircrafts was temporarily stopped at the airports of Kazan and Nizhnekamsk. However, by 5 a.m. airports of Saratov, Volgograd and Moscow region resumed operations. By 6 a.m. Minsk time, the airports of Samara, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod and Yaroslavl were working in the same mode. During the period of restrictions, 34 planes were sent to alternate airfields in Moscow, and in the regions - three, said Korenyako.
Before that, the largest number of Russian airports stopped working due to the threat of drone attacks on January 24. Then at night temporarily stopped departures and reception of aircraft 10 air hubs in the Moscow region, as well as in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Penza, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk.
