"The Parade From Red Square Should Be Moved To The Subway."

An AFU colonel suggested striking Moscow on May 7.

Moscow seriously fears that Ukraine will strike the parade on Red Square on May 9.

Could the Ukrainian Armed Forces take such a step? With such a question the site Charter97.org turned to Ukrainian reserve colonel, military expert Roman Svitan:

- Technically to fulfill the combat task of destroying the Russian military, which will be stationed in Moscow, we have. These are both drones with a range of 500-800 km, and cruise missiles, and ballistics, for example, the Grom-2 missile with a range of 500 km, which can cover Moscow.

I emphasize, there are all three mechanisms for striking military facilities, places of concentration of Russian troops that will be preparing and trying to march on Red Square.

The opportunity is already forming: several attacks were on Moscow yesterday, the day before yesterday, today. These attacks are mostly reconnaissance attacks. There were somewhere up to a hundred drones, new routes of approach were being laid out, it is obvious that we are getting closer to Moscow.

Technical possibility is definitely there, the decision itself will depend on politicians. If they don't have the guts, of course they will be afraid, or someone will ask them not to hit because of Si Jinping and so on. If they are not afraid, if they find the courage to hit military targets, then the strike is not a problem from a technical point of view. Let's see, there are three days ahead.

I would strike tomorrow - May 7. It's not about the parade, it's about the concentration of military forces. They will already be stationed tomorrow, let's say, in the Zhukovsky area. They always train there, with equipment and personnel nearby. In other words, we can strike in a couple of days.

Besides, tomorrow, May 7, is Putin's anniversary - 25 years ago he was inaugurated. It would be a clear message, firstly, a blow to his ego, and secondly, the destruction of a legitimate military target. We'll see.

- Is there a possibility of provocation on Red Square to blame Ukraine?

- Provocations are always possible, especially on the part of the FSB, remember the "Ryazan sugar". About 25 years ago, to accuse the Chechens of terrorism, the FSB blew up several 10-story buildings with hexogen bags.

- Hundreds of Russians died then, and they blamed it all on the Chechens. It was all inspired by the Russian FSB.

So something like this can be done, definitely, but it is unlikely to happen on Red Square. It will become a military site because of the accumulation of the military. The FSB can carry out provocations where there will be no military, on civilians.

In general, we are waiting for the Ukrainian defeat forces to work on Russian territory to concentrate Russian troops.

- Foreign guests at the parade in Moscow - a human shield for Putin?

- Definitely. First, they are a target for provocations. Secondly, a human shield. Xi Jinping will never go to Moscow or go to Red Square unless he has a 100% guarantee, roughly speaking, from Vladimir Zelensky or Donald Trump.

With this human shield goal in mind, Putin is pulling all these heads of state to him. Plus, he also declared a three-day "truce" there specifically to protect himself on Red Square.

The only mechanism to really ensure the safety of Xi Jinping is to hold a parade in the subway. On one of the platforms. In the subway to climb into some station, there instead of trains to drive back and forth instead of trains columns and armored trains of North Korean wax.

In the Red Square itself to provide security, in principle, there is no possibility. Some of the ballistic missiles that can reach Red Square will pass through anyway.

It's impossible to shoot them all down. Even if they are shot down, they will still hit Red Square. Hundreds of kilograms of iron, explosives and so on will fall on their heads. Therefore, no one will give 100% safety to the head of China on Red Square.
