Two airfields were also attacked.

A number of important enterprises of the military-industrial complex as well as two airfields were attacked in Russia, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Kovalenko reported.

His information shows that a fiber-optic systems plant in Saransk, which is a key element of the Russian defense industry in the field of modern military communications, was hit. This plant also specializes in the production of fiber optic cables and communication systems for the Russian army, particularly for fiber optic drones.

In Tula, the Instrument Engineering Design Bureau was attacked. This enterprise is "one of the flagships" of the Russian military-industrial complex, specializing in the development of modern weapons systems, including anti-tank systems, small arms and combat modules, Kovalenko specified. Its products are actively used during the war in Ukraine.

Splav, which is the main developer of multiple rocket launchers in Russia, also came under attack.

"It is here that Grads, Hurricanes and Smerchis were created, which are actively used against Ukrainian cities and at the front," he specified.

Kovalenko added that the enterprise has close ties with Rostec Concern and remains one of the priority producers of weapons for the Russian army.

Besides the enterprises, two airfields were also attacked, the CPD head specified. In particular, the Shaikovka airfield in the Kaluga region, where Tu-22m3s are based and missiles, including the X-22, are stored. As well as the Kubinka airbase in the Moscow region, where Su-27 and MiG-29 are based.
