It became known whether Yanukovych and Assad will be at the parade on May 9.
The Kremlin has not invited former foreign leaders living in Russia to the May 9 parade in Moscow. Apparently we are talking about two fugitive presidents - Ukrainian Viktor Yanukovych and Syrian Bashar al-Assad, writes "Telegraph".
This was stated by the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin Dmitri Peskov. His words are reported by the Russian media. In addition, the Kremlin spokesman assured that the Russian military is doing everything necessary to ensure that the celebration "took place in a calm and peaceful atmosphere."
How the networks are reacting
Commentators on the news that Yanukovych and Assad were not invited to the parade in Moscow are not surprised by this, because this is the fate of "Putin's pawns." Some doubt that they are alive at all.
"Who needs presidents without a country", "That's it, that's Putin's attitude to his pawns", "That's the life of dictators, hiding till the grave and that's if you're lucky", "That's what it is, a "shelter" for cannibals", "Are they alive? That's why they were not invited," they wrote in the network.
